It is no longer just for decoration!

It has become common to buy things that have a function. The decorative items should not just be for decoration and dust collection! They should also be put to use. This is also the case for the many beautiful dishes and ashtrays ...which they are no longer called by the way!!!   I Danish homes and shops like ours there are many truly beautiful dishes that are currently being brought forth in the many small homes.   For example it has become popular to serve fish in the wellknown Royal Copenhagen fish dishes. Bjorn Wiinblad Guide

Are you among those, who like Bjorn Wiinblad's art, but have difficulty figuring out the many different types of Bjorn Wiinblad items, then read on. Bjorn Wiinblad's life motif was always "to make people happy" and he got the nickname "The happy son of nature". He had a deep love for oriental art, which was reflected in his personal style. Bjorn Wiinblad had an original talent.  Bjorn Wiinblad was born on 20th September 1918 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and died 6th June 2006. He started as an apprentice typographer and attended the technical school at Frederiksberg 1936-1939. Then he attended the art academy under Aksel Jorgensen in the period from 1940-1943.  He was educated by Lars Syberg in Taastrup and from 1946 he was an artist at Nymolle Fayence Factory, where many items were produced from Bjorn Wiinblad's drawings.
