Did you know that we have these wonders, too?

 Did you know that a number of plates with churches have been produced? Both Royal Copenhagen, Bing & Grondahl and other porcelain factories manufactured plates showing churches and cathedrals.

As it is Spring with all the important holidays such plates would do well on the wall or in small memorial arrangements. So what would be more fitting than to show you some of these beautiful plates?

You can choose to have the beautiful church plates with many of the most wellknown buildings in Denmark. If you know anyone with a special relationship to a church, then this could be a fun and different idea for them.

Bing & Grondahl issued the world's first Mother's Day plate in 1969 thus once again being the first like with the Christmas plates. The series continues to this day. The motifs of the B&G Mother's Day plates have always been of animals with their cubs and always the emphasis is on the mother nurturing the child.

World renouned Royal Copenhagen also made its series of Mother's Day plates. These cute plates have their very own style making them quite unique and they have the theme "Mothers of the world". It includes an American motherDanish motherGreenlandic mother and even an Atlantian Mermaid mother.

Royal Copenhagen made more than one series of Mother's Day plates and this series is very special. This series the artist Sven Vestergaard adapted the motifs of older Royal Copenhagen figurines for the Mother's Day plates.
