Are you a fan of blue, too?

The old dinner services from Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl are increasingly popular in Denmark. Especially the dinnerware that can be put in the dish washer and the microwave as these are wellsuited for the busy everyday life.

Below I will show you some of the old dinnerware that have become popular again. Furthermore I am going to show you a very special historic coffee service at the end.

Bing & Grondahl Christmas Rose Service

Bing & Grøndahls Christmas Rose Service

Bing & Grondahl Christmas Rose is one of the less wellknown blue painted services. Christmas rose is wellsuited for everyday use as it can be put in the dishwasher and the microwave oven. The Christmas rose service is no longer in production, so it is only the original Danish produced parts that are still available.

The Christmas rose service was designed by Cecilie Louise Hallin in colaboration with her husband Frederik August Hallin, who also designed the first Christmas plate from Bing & Grondahl. The Christmas rose service is thus produced using the same technique as the famous Christmas plates. The Christmas rose service is thus wellsuited in combination with the Christmas plates for setting a lively table.

We have many part for the service in stock from the small 15 cm cake plate at only EUR 5.42 across the 21 cm flat plate at EUR 14.91 to the large 24 cm dinner plate at EUR 21.96.

Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted

Royal Copenhagen blue fluted service

Royal Copenhagen's blue fluted service is one of the oldest services from Royal Copenhagen and it is still a very popular service. It is still in production and is the flagship of Royal Copenhagen. It is a dinner and coffee service that can be put in both the dish washer and the microwave oven making it wellsuited for the modern home.

The blue fluted service that we know today was designed by Arnold Krog, who redesigned and revitalised Royal Copenhagen and thereby lifted Danish porcelain into a new golden age.

Royal Copenhagen Blue Flower

Royal Copenhagen Blue Flower

Blue Flower is another classic service from Royal Copenhagen. Contrary to the Blue Fluted service Blue Flower is no longer in production meaning that the parts are only available second hand. This service, too, has the practical advantage that it is not goldpainted and thus can be used in both the dishwasher and the microwave oven.

Just like the Blue Fluted service Blue Flower as it is known today is a product of Arnold Krog'swork at Royal Copenhagen.

The Royal Copenhagen Christmas service is the coffee service that fits the Christmas plates. With this the old plates can have a whole new life by coming of the walls and onto the tables!

Royal Copenhagen Colonial Service

Royal Copenhagen Colonial Service

As something truly unique we have a single set of the Colonial Service produced by Royal Copenhagen in 1976 to celebrate the bicentennary of the declaration of independence of the United States of America. The service was only produced in 300 specimen and the original was gifted to President Ford by her Majesty Queen Margrethe. The service is kept in a mahogony chest on legs that is sent with the service.
