Kay Bojesen, who was originally a silversmith, started his production of wooden toys after becoming a father himself. He is one of the most productive Danish artisans in the 20th century with more the 2000 pieces of art on his conscious.
Today Kay Boyesen wooden figurines from his own time is highly priced, but his works are still in production. The design rights are being managed by his four grandchildren, who have assigned the rights to further production to Rosendahl, who is behind the relaunche of the popular figurines.
